What’s another word for exhausted

Written by SBF on May 25, 2011 – 7:17 pm

Man oh man, am I tired. This month has been a real marathon and there’s more to go. I’ve canceled our Memorial Day weekend plans so the boyfriend and I can just veg out at home for a few days. Right now the plan is to turn off the phones and close the drapes. We won’t do anything more strenuous than order chinese.

Sounds like heaven. You know how people are always complaining that kids today never go outside? Like they spend 24/7 on Playstation and cell phones? Sign me up for some of that. Less go there and get things done, more click here to complete this task.

I’m supposed to be going to the grocery store right now, but my butt refuses to move off the sofa. Dog and cat are in agreement, we will not be moved.

Bathroom armageddon

Written by SBF on May 14, 2011 – 10:10 pm

It’s clear that the boyfriend and I have been together too long. We had a twenty minute argument this morning about the shower curtains we’ve been talking about buying. The idea was to get a matched set so both of the bathrooms have the same colors and design. But he’s decided the upstairs should be different (complete with plans to paint), so the curtains won’t work.

In the end we decided to keep the ones we ordered. The dog ate half the last one, so even if we only use it for one bathroom it’ll need replacing eventually.

And yes, I realize that’s a stupid thing to fight about. But we’re lacking in serious relationship issues so this is all we’ve got. And do’t worry, we got over it quickly. Next fight will likely be about packing up the car tomorrow morning. Ah, love.

Road trippin’ down south

Written by SBF on May 10, 2011 – 4:20 pm

Due to an unexpected situation the boyfriend and I are taking a road trip next week. We’re renting a truck and heading down to South Carolina to help a friend. The weather should be nice and we’ve got a pair of new sony digital cameras to document the journey.

We were going to just rush and get there ASAP but we’ve decided to turn it into a mini vacation. So, posting will be thin if at all next week, but I promise to have many exciting stories and some pictures after.

Good times.

Winner winner chicken dinner

Written by SBF on April 26, 2011 – 12:35 pm

That title has nothing to do with this post, really. I just heard someone say it today at the store and laughed for an hour. I mean, it’s so silly. I can only hope she was talking about an actual chicken dinner.

Anyhoodle, as you know, nothing pleases me more than helping people. Except for pie. Pie is better than helping. Now, helping myself to a piece of pie? Heavenly. There was a point here somewhere. Oh yes. My previous post about places that buy gold. It inspired husband of Little Mama (nee Little Sister). He gathered a bunch together and made some real bank. You can too. Look into it.

Dear Spring

Written by SBF on April 21, 2011 – 2:24 pm

Where the hell are you?

I’m sitting at my desk trying to write an article – using some great lipofuze reviews, FYI – and realized something. The weather blows. I was writing a section about spring trends and activities and nothing was coming to me. Because it’s been cold and or raining since February, with no real end in sight.

So I’m trying to cast my mind back to a time when seasons did change and people’s behavior was different, thus requiring different marketing to them in warming weather.

Smoking hot romance, y’all

Written by SBF on April 20, 2011 – 10:59 am

The boyfriend and I had one of those state of the union “relationship” conversations last night. You know, where you talk about how things are going, what you see in the future? That one.

It came about because we’d been talking about the best acne pills to suggest for a coworker of his. Given the skin issues we have in this house, such a discussion can go on forever.

So in the middle he was like, “We’re really boring you know.”

Which, duh. We’ve been together forever and living together for over two years now. Boring is how it goes. My question was if we’re both happy. He said yes, I said yes. So it doesn’t matter if we’re a little boring if we’re both enjoying the relationship and our lives.

I have a sneaking suspicion there’s a marriage discussion not to far in our future, but for now we’re happy with happy.
