Yes more home furniture shopping

Plans for the work we’re doing to the house continue. Things are moving along, and surprisingly at a lower price than we thought. So yay on that. But, since it’s us, we have to spend that extra money somewhere. Right now it’s going to go to a couple of new things for the living room. Most of the furniture we have in there now is left over from our separate apartments. I want to upgrade a little. I’ve seen a couple of contemporary coffee tables I like, and the boyfriend has designs on a really nice pair of comfy chairs.

A house is the most fun toy ever.

Northward, ho

The boyfriend and I are heading up to Philly on Wednesday for a mini vacation. We’re excited to spend St. Patty’s day with J and her man. She promised to post her menu, too.

On Friday the four of us are going on to New York for the weekend. Insane amounts of fun will be had.

Never eating again

Thanks to Gawker’s article about Clarence Thomas and his er, yuckysexytime stuff, I’m truamatized. Never eating, looking at another person, or doing anything ever again. Gross.

Mr Cool

That’s my man. The boyfriend has finally settled in at his new job, and is starting to hang out with some of his coworkers. The ones I’ve met are nice. And for some reason they think he’s the most awesome guy to ever walk the planet. It’s pretty funny. He’ll mention a band he likes and they’re amazed. He talks about buying some cheyenne cigars, and they’re all on board.

The latest is food. They keep asking him for restaurant suggestions. He tells them places we like and a whole bunch go there in a few days. So, if you have a restaurant that needs customers, just tell Dan. He can hook you up.
