OMG, how embarrassing

I’m absolutely mortified. Apparently our dog (who we got last year) isn’t as fixed as his previous owner promised. So unfixed in fact that he’s impregnated another dog. We just found out this weekend and had the owners over. So embarrassing. I hope I never have a son, because sitting in a room with the people whose dog yours has knocked up was terrible.

Luckily, they’re awesome people and were very understanding about the whole thing. I’ve put the boyfriend in charge of taking our horny pooch to our vet to er, finish the job. Let me tell you, I am way too young to be a grandmother, even of puppies. But they’re coming. On the bright side, I walked Corey (remember, we didn’t name him) over to the other dog’s house this morning and they played together a bit. So, at least they’re staying friendly for the puppies. We may have to set up play dates, no dog of mine is going to be a deadbeat dad.

This is why I am a cat person

I’m a huge fan of most animals and love dogs. But you’ve got to respect cats, and this is why they’re my pet of choice. Cats do not give a fuck who you think you are. They reign.

Around and around

Animals are great, right? Good companionship, entertainment, always a subject of discussion when there’s nothing else to talk about.

Right now our brood of two is killing me. The cat and dog have quickly become best friends, and are starting to act alike already.

As I’m writing this they’re both sitting on the floor in the dining room, staring up at the ceiling. So far it’s been 8 minutes. I guess they really love ceiling fans. And who can blame them. They rock. The fans and the pets.

Fold, fold, fold again

I spent 45 minutes folding laundry today. It made me want to cry. Because then I had to put away all the crap I folded. Too much of a process. That’s what I get for letting things pile up, I guess.

In other news, my skin is still in bad shape, and my search for the perfect acne products continues. I’m hoping to find some stuff that clears it up and is actually healthy. That’s possible, I know it.

Also, we are now officially a two pet household. The boyfriend’s old boss dropped one of his dogs off this morning to see if it and the cat get along, and they fell in love at first sight.

So, more fur, more noise! Pictures of the happy couple soon. The dog’s name is Milo and he’s a mostly chocolate lab mutt.
