Dear Spring

Written by SBF on April 21, 2011 – 2:24 pm

Where the hell are you?

I’m sitting at my desk trying to write an article – using some great lipofuze reviews, FYI – and realized something. The weather blows. I was writing a section about spring trends and activities and nothing was coming to me. Because it’s been cold and or raining since February, with no real end in sight.

So I’m trying to cast my mind back to a time when seasons did change and people’s behavior was different, thus requiring different marketing to them in warming weather.

Smoking hot romance, y’all

Written by SBF on April 20, 2011 – 10:59 am

The boyfriend and I had one of those state of the union “relationship” conversations last night. You know, where you talk about how things are going, what you see in the future? That one.

It came about because we’d been talking about the best acne pills to suggest for a coworker of his. Given the skin issues we have in this house, such a discussion can go on forever.

So in the middle he was like, “We’re really boring you know.”

Which, duh. We’ve been together forever and living together for over two years now. Boring is how it goes. My question was if we’re both happy. He said yes, I said yes. So it doesn’t matter if we’re a little boring if we’re both enjoying the relationship and our lives.

I have a sneaking suspicion there’s a marriage discussion not to far in our future, but for now we’re happy with happy.

Orange you glad…

… I didn’t say banana?

Remember that joke? I heard it again from a kid today. It made me happy that even though this little person seems like an alien creature compared to my childhood, they still like stupid knock knock jokes/puns, and can talk about things other than computer games.

Anyway, I met this kid with Little Mama who’s looking at gyms to join and I tagged along. The one she’s probably picking has a great personal trainer program which is really important to her. She’s always been big on exercising and is concerned about how that works as the pregnancy progresses.

Considering the fact that walking the dog is the most exercise I get a day, I had very little to contribute to the conversation, but it was fun to see all the places and hear their sales pitches.

Lost and found and lost again

Written by SBF on April 18, 2011 – 11:40 am

I seem to have developed a serious personality disorder recently. I’m not sure what the clinical term for it is, but basically I can’t keep an eye on anything. I’m losing everything.

In the four hours I’ve been awake today I’ve lost my car keys, my glasses, and a cat toy. The glasses are lost for the tenth time this month. Right now I’m thinking of buying a bunch of pairs of cheap eyeglasses so I can have one in every room of the house and our cars.

The problem seems to be every time I pick something up and take it to a different room, it’s gone forever. I found the keys and managed to lose them again right away. Sigh.
