We’ll be back to normal posting schedule in the new year, once all the “celebrating” leaves our systems.
There will be exciting tales of family arguments, pregnancy, international travel, shoe misplacement, and much much more.

Written by SBF on December 23, 2010 – 8:11 amDC peeps holiday dinner last night was a great success. Plus, I got to send leftovers home with those who aren’t leaving town, so no clogging up the refrigerator. The boyfriend and I are both getting ready to leave. Of course, leaving the packing to this morning was a terrible idea. We’re both tired and kind of rushed.
For some reason my suitcase ended up in the linen closet (took me 15 minutes to find it), and his right overshoe was hiding in the guest room – along with a pair of gloves we can’t remember owning and a pack of spatulas I’d been trying to find for weeks. Sometimes I miss just having a small apartment to lose things in.

More cake, less mess please
Written by SBF on December 21, 2010 – 2:22 pmThis is so weird. Our house is like Santa’s workshop all of the sudden. I’m baking for dinner tomorrow, the boyfriend is wrapping presents (in the kitchen for a reason I don’t understand). And Marcus is entertaining us both with lots of holiday music. We’re currently playing a complicated game centered around personalized christmas gifting ideas. Basically trying to figure out the best and worst gift idea for specific people. It’s more fun than it sounds.
For some reason I can’t keep from making a huge mess when I bake. I mean, flour all over the place, measuring spoons tossed everywhere. But the delicious cake outcome is worth the cleanup. I think.
