First, sorry for all the video posts lately. Just noticed there are a lot of them. But sometimes video says it all. Through some convoluted process I ended up watching an episode of Daria yesterday. Totally takes me back. My roommate in college was obsessed, and we would watch together. Ah, teen angst. I look back at it fondly now. To wit:

First the video. I was introduced to this from Head of the Class. They did great musical episodes. I was so disappointed that high school was not like that. This is my favorite song.

Also, a word of warning: If your child liked the fun movie musical version of Little Shop of Horrors, do not purchase a copy of the original film for her. It is scary and she will be scarred for life.

The last day

Today is my last day of uh, aloneness. Just pretend that’s a word. The boyfriend comes back in the morning, so I’m getting things ready. Like moving the laundry basket off of his treadmill (where it has been for the last 48 hours). You know when you put something somewhere it doesn’t go, and then forget where it was. Then, eventually, you just get used to seeing it in the new place and forget it wasn’t supposed to be there? Yeah, that’s what happened. It took me 15 minutes of staring at it to realize that was the problem.

Clearly this brief time alone has sucked all the intelligence out of me. Who knew. Maybe if I’d moved in with the boyfriend earlier I’d be on my way to a doctoral degree in something impressive, instead of being baffled by a plastic basket.

Yes, to answer the question you didn’t ask. I am in fact enjoying my time alone in the house as much as I expected to. I had wine and popcorn for dinner last night and it was delicious. Speaking of which, might end up having to use some of that best fat burner research for myself at this rate.

I went to put on some jeans I bought in the Fall and lost in a closet, and they didn’t fit. Not even a little bit. Which means I’ve either gained a lot of weight and didn’t notice, or I was dumb enough to buy jeans without trying them on. Lame, whichever it is.

Not again

Ugh, I’m having skin problems again. All the great ideas and suggestions I got for acne skin products aren’t working this time, and I’m not sure what to do.

Right now I’m trying to figure out if the problem is food or stress related, but I’m not certain yet. As you may have guessed, I’ve decided to go the self-solution route, instead of going to a dermatologist like a normal sane person would do. Why? Just because.

Not really. I tried to get an appointment and have to wait until the end of next month. Apparently the entire DC area has skin issues too. So, until then, I’m flying solo.
