Dreaming of snowblowers

Uh, having a house sucks when you get record amounts of snow. Twice in one winter. My back is killing me from trying to shovel out the driveway and front walk. Apparently we can get sued if someone falls in front of the house if we don’t clear it. Swell. So, we’re shoveling and fantasizing about buying a snowblower. It’s going on the list of things we must, must, must have – between a kegerator and some excellent xbox accessories.

Puppy shopping

At some point in every relationship there comes a time to make the big decision. Whether or not to get a puppy. And here we are.

Now, I never thought about having a dog anytime soon. Got a cat and a boyfriend, the house is full, right? Well, yes, until today. Today we ran into a woman who lives down the street. The boyfriend and I helped her unpack her car full of puppy supplies – food, pillows, toys, and who knows what else.

Then we went inside. Her chocolate lab has three ridiculously adorable puppies, and I wanted to keep them all. Which caused me to make the mistake of mentioning it to the boyfriend. He was all in within 10 minutes. And we’ve talked about nothing else for the last two hours.

Right now the idea is to have a puppy play date to see how the cat reacts. The puppies are basically ready to leave their mom, so we will have to decide soon.

Life is full of so many choices. I’m so grown up.
