Pack, pack, pack?
Written by SBF on December 16, 2009 – 7:47 pmWhen I woke up this morning the boyfriend was in our spare bedroom, packing. For our trip. In two weeks. And humming. So weird, but so cute. he said he woke up too excited to do anything else. He’s such a dork. Definitely adorkable, though he’d deny it.
I hate packing. Mostly because I’m terrible at it. I either bring nothing or everything, I can’t seem to find a middle ground. I can manage for an overnight or cross country moving, nothing in between.
I try to follow packing lists where you pay out items that can work in multiple outfits, but I never follow through. I’ll remember to bring extra underwear for changes during the day, but no socks. Or I’ll bring one nice dress but no shoes to wear with it.
Ugh. Maybe now that we live together I can get the boyfriend to help if he’s going to be so excited about it.

Everything is fine
Written by SBF on December 16, 2009 – 12:19 pmThanks to everyone who asked, everything is fine with the boyfriend’s family. I don’t want to get into what happened, but everyone is fine and the situation was handled.
I forget sometimes how close they all are (Cosbys, I mean it). It’s great how they rally around whenever someone needs it, but it can get a little exhausting when you’re not used to it. Which I am not, but getting there.
Just remember, if you don’t know what mechanical breakdown insurance is, you probably need it.

No sleep ’til Brooklyn?
Written by SBF on December 13, 2009 – 7:28 pmHooray for wireless laptop internet! I’m writing this from the car, sitting next to a very tired boyfriend. Due to yet another family emergency, we’re driving up to New York last minute. Neither of us has had much sleep in the past few days for a lot of reasons, so we’re not talking or thinking. There were a few moments spent comparing examples of low brain functioning and dark circles under the eyes, and that was it. We’re blasting music, but that’s not really even penetrating my brain. More soon.

Surrealist everything
Written by SBF on December 11, 2009 – 9:50 pmHopefully this follows well. There is nothing related to New York shopping, but something about North Carolina health insurance, as I recall.
The thing that I discovered is called Sliding Trombone. Wanna hear it? Here it go… Read more »

Ok, fine
Written by SBF on December 11, 2009 – 4:03 pmJ took my post about cheery holiday music as a personal challenge, of course. And she’s been sending me songs and videos ever since. For such a heartless creature, she loves that schlock. I was able to resist right up until this point:
I am only human. Adorable. Now leave me alone! I’ve got important work to do finding the best acne treatment and putting together a gift basket. Read more »

Problems
Written by SBF on December 11, 2009 – 3:39 pmI’m too tired to really write anything, I’ve been up for 35 hours and counting. Will share more later. In the meantime, some songs and stuff I’ve been meaning to post. Nothing related to social security disability, I swear, Dan.
Also, I got an email that someone was having trouble posting a comment, please let me know if you experience this too. I have no idea what the issue is, but I can have it looked into.
