Cinco De Mayo

As the owner of this blog is too busy unpacking or whatever the hell she’s doing to recognize one of our favorite holidays, I’ll do it for her. To quote her from Mardi Gras,

I know I should say something about the rich cultural history of New Orleans and blah blah blah, but I just like excuses to drink a lot. You’ll notice a deep connection to St. Patrick’s day as well, and Cinco de Mayo.

Why respect cultures when you can appropriate their holidays as an excuse to binge drink?

Amen, sister!

Honestly, while I do plan to enjoy fake cultural drinking today, Cinco de Mayo really just makes me think of this Liz Phair song:

And enchiladas…. mmmm. And an Outer Banks homes.
